Helen Rosner ’04 Wins 2025 James Beard Media Award

Food writer and editor Helen Rosner ’04 is the recipient of a 2025 James Beard Media Award for her profile story, “Padma Lakshmi Walks into a Bar,” published in The New Yorker magazine where she is a staff member. Rosner, who earned her Smith degree in philosophy, was formerly an editor at Eater magazine.

Associate Professor Jennifer Guglielmo Co-hosts Talk on Italian-American Identity and Whiteness

Jennifer Guglielmo, associate professor of history, co-hosted a talk in April on the theme of Italian-American identity and whiteness at 33 Hawley’s Barn Door Gallery in Northampton.
