Syki Barbee

Syki Barbee is a fiction writer based in Springfield, Massachusetts. She received her M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts, where she also received a bachelor’s in English as well as a specialization in professional writing and technical communications. Syki is passionate about the centralization of BIPOC characters and characters from other underrepresented communities in literature. She was the recipient of the REAL Fellowship and was also shortlisted for the Straw Dog Writers Guild Emerging Writer Fellowship.
