Joe Forzano

Joe Forzano joined the Smith chemistry department faculty in fall 2025 as a Visiting Assistant Professor. His doctoral research experiences lie at the intersection of organic chemistry and chemical biology, with a focus on the synthesis and application of light-responsive small molecules for diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of cancer. He is passionate about connecting organic chemistry principles to real-world applications, especially in the contexts of biology and medicine.
