Weather Alert: Ivy Day

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the Ivy Day ceremony will be held at the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for guests. Overflow seating will be available at Sweeney Concert Hall in Sage Hall, where the livestream will be shown.  Graduates should arrive at the glass door entrance of Ainsworth Gym no later than 8:45 a.m. to assemble for the Alumnae Parade.

Biography

Giovanna Bellesia is originally from Milano, Italy, and moved to the United States in 1980. She began teaching at Smith in 1984. Her research work has centered on the theory and practice of translation, migration studies and Italian women writers. She enjoys exploring how new technology can help students learn more effectively. She directed the Smith Programs Abroad in Florence several times.
