Equity and wellness go hand in hand. As previous series guest Dr. Kamilah Majied writes, “Just minds nurture wellness, and well minds nurture justice.” This session is inspired by lessons from Loretta J. Ross, Smith College faculty colleague in the Program for the Study of Women and Gender and MacArthur Fellow. We consider expanding our embodied capacities for calling in faculty to gain learning and build trust – starting with ourselves in our roles as faculty, when we ourselves make missteps. We also consider strategies for calling in our faculty colleagues toward creating stronger cultures of WE (wellness+equity).

Copies of Calling In: How to Start Making Change with Those You’d Rather Cancel by Loretta J. Ross will be given to the first 15 attendees.
