Screening of the 2025 documentary film directed and produced by Brittany Shyne. The film follows Black generational family farmers in the American South, exploring their joys, struggles, and the significance of owning their own land. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the U.S. Documentary Grand Jury Prize. Seeds was included on the 2025 Academy Award Shortlist. The film will be followed by conversation and Q&A with Sabrina Schmidt-Gordon, film co-producer and Christine Hutchinson, Black Land Stewardship Director, NEFOC Land Trust, facilitated by Mandana Boushee, NEFOC Relationships and Reciprocity Program Manager.
