Weather Alert

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the Ivy Day ceremony will be held at the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for guests. Overflow seating will be available at Sweeney Concert Hall in Sage Hall, where the livestream will be shown.  Graduates should arrive at the glass door entrance of Ainsworth Gym no later than 8:45 a.m. to assemble for the Alumnae Parade.

Caitlin Canty

Biography

Caitlin Canty (Somerville, MA) is a dancer, educator, and the director of Eventual Dance Company, for which she makes dances for the stage and screen. Her dances mine a private human emotional experience in an attempt to break down an illusion of loneliness and posit imaginative possibilities that make noise and glitter. Her work has been presented at venues across Massachusetts, including Cambridge Community Television, Third Life Studio, Salem Arts Festival, The Dance Complex, The School for Contemporary Dance and Thought, Center for the Arts at the Armory, The Yard, and The Foundry. Recently, she was supported as an Artist in Residence at Arts Assembled in Somerville, MA. As a freelance dancer, she has performed with Ruckus Dance, Jenna Pollack and Projects, Luminarium Dance, ATTN:Dance, ZoeDance, BalletRusses, and others. Canty is dedicated to her teaching practice, and has taught at The West Concord Dance Academy, MIDDAY Movement Series, KidsDoDance at The Yard, and Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre.
